According to an email I received this morning, it is in the mail .. oh be still my racing heart! In about 4 days ?? Oh no, this means I still have to fold the mountain of laundry. ( bugger ) Since Cam will be the first to have read it, don't tell me/us anything pwease ? Thank you sweetie
Ninjawoman p.s does today count as one day or do they start counting after they tossed the parcel in the out-box ?
>>By Ninjawoman
well I am on the first chapter I am a slow reader as I keep saying but its all good sofar.
>>By Rikky
Good sofar ? On page bleeeping 68 comes the hero into view !! Btw it gets better in the end but it took some work getting there. I know more about people who don't even excist ( I am living in hope anyway and please leave me doing that ) then I know about people I talk to in every day life ( including close family members ) To be honest the book left me puzzled, still not sure what to make of it.

Praise for 'Undersea Prison': If I hadn't had a previously arranged evening out with friends I would most likely have read this in one sitting, it's that good! As it was, I read it within 24 hours. It is superbly constructed, entirely feasible, and a very original concept. After reading his latest Newsletter I was particularly interested in the escape sequence he admitted to labouring over, well it too is a piece of genius which could only be dreamed up by a man with his experiences. The intricate description of the technology which makes the prison work are simply extraordinary, you will assume he had a conducted tour and received blueprints, then you will do a web search to establish whether the place actually exists; maybe it does?

FLASHTURBATION... The "upgrade" to the Falconer site is a bit annoying... I'm not sure what its meant to accomplish, other than making it harder to navigate and less clear on what its purpose is. I run a small Andy McNab fansite, and we're number one in the rankings for Andy McNab due to content--and that's because I purposely avoided Flash etc., when I could accomplish the same thing with CSS. Is the site designer more concerned with promoting Duncan or promoting his own "skills"? I'm not comfortable being an asshole, but at some point someone has to make a strong suggestion when softer suggestions were ignored.

How about this flash intro though Hank? ;-)

Thanks Hank. I ve got a few more flashy bits to add to DF's site, ie gallery and game page Flash is the way forward, don't hesitate to ask for tips if your struggling to get a grip with Flash. I am always willing to help. sometimes advancements in technology and forward thinking are unnecessary. I suppose that's why the Afghans still live in caves. I get your point, "if it aint broke Don't fix it".
>>By Rikky
LOL, I just googled Mc Nab to find this site of Hanks But the top google was Mc Nabs own official site which as I opened the home page asked me to update my Flash browser.

Just ran into this article, a few years old but I was wondering if this could have been some inspiration for Duncans novel "The Protector" ?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/ [ LOSE SPACE ] articles/news/news.html? [ LOSE SPACE ] in_article_id=492290&in_page_id=1770

Speaking of The Protector, anyone played the game yet? http://www.littlebrown.co.uk/sites/theprotector/

What's up Dunc ? Fell off the wagon ? You still workin' or what ?
>>By spiketheprovo
Duncan writes only in Flash now. If the text isn't glowing, spinning, growing, or shrinking, he will have nothing to do with it. Thus, he's given up on useless mediums like traditional print. After the stellar success of his web site, Duncan is determined to publish a book that vibrates when you read action scenes and emits a faint orange glow when you come across an account of a good shagging.

Is the glow coming from the reader or the writer??

Thought I'd check what's going on here... seems there will be a new book in 2009: "The Mercenary".
Synopsis Stratton carries out a small task in Central America as a favour to a CIA officer, but it leads him to become embroiled in a national rebellion. Against his own principles, the special operative becomes emotionally involved and decides to join the popular uprising. However, he is unaware that the fight is not just against the local government - the CIA are very much involved. As events spiral disastrously out of control, Stratton must face up to his biggest and most treacherous challenge yet.
And his is another synopsis: Stratton is sent into Central America by his British SIS boss to carry out what begins as a simple task for an ally in the CIA. But all is not what it seems and he is soon embroiled in a national rebellion. Stratton’s impartiality is compromised when he falls for the daughter of a revolutionary leader and after a series of deadly betrayals he becomes involved in a desperate struggle on the side of the guerrillas. The fight pits him not only against government forces but his CIA handler and climaxes in a battle that will decide the fate of the revolution as well as those involved.
Also, since last month Duncan has his own Wikipedia site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Falconer
There's another video I found: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/ [ LOSE SPACE] x3q0xm_duncan-falconer-au-salon-du-polar_news
And the official website still does not run on IE, have to use Firefox. Why?? ;-) Last newsletter was November last year.... he's retired??
